Welcome bags are a common practice for destination weddings. When asking your guests to travel and typically spend a little more than they would for a local wedding, a nice gesture is to have welcome bags waiting in your guests’ rooms to thank them upon arrival for making the journey to celebrate your love! A welcome bag has a couple of different items - that vary depending on the destination! Miniature sunscreen bottles and flip flops are great ideas for a warm, beach vacation whereas a branded beanie and glove warmers might be more suitable for a snowy mountain destination.
Now - regardless of destination, there are two staple items that should always be thrown in. The first is water or some sort of beverage. The second is a snack - savory or sweet…. both if you can swing it!
