SET YOUR THANKSGIVING TABLE
Whether you’re hosting an intimate family gathering or a two hundred person event, our favorite Thanksgiving table settings are focused on the food. Decor should be used sporadically through out the room to accent and enhance the area, allowing your favorite recipes to be the center of attention. It’s all about moderation - except when it comes to the turkey.
This year, we’re favoriting an ethereal elegance - a play on golds and greenery to evoke fall feelings in a more upscale manner.
Golden Goddess
Our first place setting uses both yellow and pink gold plates to evoke an elegant fall setting. Similar to the yellow and red leaf tones of Thanksgiving, these plates create a sophisticated fall allure.
A simple white linen threaded through a gold napkin rings balances the table with a more simplistic aspect.
Varied candle heights creates the illusion of a fuller table, despite occupying less space. Paired with a leaf garland, the table appears to have multi dimensions that will emphasize the foods that are later placed adjacent to them.
Leaf It Simple
Our second place setting is clean and modern. A simple set of white plates stacked with a singular gold leaf place card keeps the table elegantly bare. With the focus being on the food, this combinations sets the perfect tone for a big feast.
To enhance the fall spirit, one could add a mix of fall color leaves running through the center of the table, serving as placemats for the serve ware.
Buffet Bare
Our third place setting is ideal for buffet style dining. Keeping plates and silverware near the food station is always a good idea when asking you guests to line up and help themselves, but can often lead to a bare looking table.
Creative solutions such as drawing a place setting with name cards is the perfect way to keep the table decorative and functional. Since the drawings are on a flat surface, you can use varying height pillar candles to add depth.
Sporadic leaves and white pumpkins tie everything together, filling in any empty spaces.
For A More Traditional Color Scheme
These are some of our favorite settings for the more traditional host - who likes to use classic fall colors and textures.
